When I came across this unique Jaspar Picture Agate on a recent online gemstone auction, I had to have it, and fortunately I was successful in winning it!  It is so interesting that every person can see a different image in many of the picture stones I acquire, but when I saw this, I immediately flashed back to my visit to the Redwood National Park in Northern California.  I still have an original oil painting of this monstrous redwood.  I am naming this pendant my “Reverie in the Forest” as reminds me of towering redwoods and ancient forests.

My mission with this piece was to create a minimalist pendant cradle of 14k gold filled wire that would gently embrace the picture agate, allowing its mesmerizing patterns to take center stage. Adorning the intricate bail (or neck of pendant) is a radiant Citrine quartz crystal, a perfect complement to the earthy tones of the centerpiece portrait.

The pendant, supported by a braided black leather cord, exudes understated elegance. An 18k gold plated bar and toggle clasp ensure secure closure, while additional 4″ extenders offer versatility in length, allowing the wearer to adjust the necklace and pendant to their desired fit. ranging from 18″ to 26″.

I love pieces that allow me to combine elements of nature with artistic design, and this piece definitely falls in this category.  It is a true celebration of the wonders of our world.
